It seems it will take 4 days for FAN to reach 100 crores collection but seems difficult also due to some reasons as he film has not scored a spectacular number and hence it seems this time too, like his previous film Dilwale, the film will take slightly longer to make it to the 100 crore club though on the 1st day it became the highest collector.
The makers would have done well to include the ‘Jabra’ song in the first half of the film, both to quickly establish the character of Gaurav and also to increase the appeal of the film at smaller centres. There are reports that even the multiplex audience were disappointed that the ‘Jabra’ song wasn’t a part of the film.
Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN has dropped by around 20% on Saturday, as the film showed a major decline in business at mass centres. Most multiplex films that carry good word-of-mouth tend to grow by 20-25% on Saturday, but the growth for FAN was around the 5-10% range.
FAN will also be competing with the ‘The Jungle Book’ which is on a phenomenal record-breaking run at the Indian box office. The film has already collected Rs 83 crore in 8 days and should cross the 100 crore mark by the end of its second weekend.
