‘Sarbjit’ is going to be sent to the ‘Oscars’

This is an extremely good news of Indian Cinema that has just came from the publicist of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadda’s starrer film ‘Sarbjit’ is going to be sent to the ‘Oscars.’

Sarbjit the film’s producer Vashu Bhagnani confirmed says, “We will send it as an entry, independently or in the race with other films. We will channelise our energy to make sure Sarbjit is in the race to become India’s entry to the Oscar this year.”

“We will also enrol the film as one of the competitors in the bid for National Awards,” he added.

Sarbjit, directed by Omung Kumar, is a biopic of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian man who crossed over into Pakistan by mistake and paid for it with his life. At last Sarabjit Singh was almost released but died in a Pakistani jail after he was reportedly attacked by other inmates.
