Salman Khan who is the Goodwill Ambassador of Rio Olympics 2016 now opens up on the controversy and said, the game should get a bigger platform as the Indian Olympic players are not getting enough exposure.
In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Salman said, “So, you have issues with one person who has court cases becoming the Olympics goodwill ambassador. But there are so many big politicians who have court cases. So, desh zyaada important hai ya Olympics? Mere liye toh desh is most important. So, I am ready to leave it, if you also leave. There are so many people, who have scams, corruption and even rapes, but they are still there.”
Salman Khan has keenly noticed the problems of the Indian Olympic players, he said that although the players eat only two meals per day without the minimum equipments, they still go and win medals for India.
He also has strong objections towards the sportrs authority who is not paying enough attentions towards the players who waste so much sweat and work so hard to make India proud after winning medals.
Personally also Salman Khan has met so many players and came to know about all the lecunas of the sports association.
