Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a teacher in Haramkhor

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is one of the most versatile actors in the B-town. After a remarkable performance as Dashrath Manjhi in Manjhi: The Mountain Man, this actor will be seen in Shlok Sharma’s Haramkhor.


The film is all set to show at the prestigious Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) and is an unconventional love story between a school teacher and his 15-year-old student. Through it’s narration, the film tries to break socio-cultural taboos and is therefore, pathbreaking in many ways.

Nawaz will essay a role of a teacher in a rural village of North India who is an adulterous relationship with his beautiful student. The story will be told thorugh raw perspectives of two students. The director will then delve deeper in the dynamics of caste, class and conventional sense of beauty and the way it shapes up a relationship.

The character of the female protagonist will be essayed by Shweta Tripathi of Masaan fame. The film is produced by Sikhya Entertainment and will show in the India Gold section at Jio MAMI
