Jai Gangaajal Movie Review: Priyanka Chopra delivers Most worthy performance

Now, finally the D-day of her film, Jai Gangaajal has arrived. We know that Director Prakash Jha’s films usually seep in the Indian socio-politico system and Jai Gangaajal is no different. It revisits the dusty heartland of Central India and examines the relationship between society and the police.

Though Jai Gangaajal is not a sequel of Gangaajal, of course there will be a lot of similarities. More or less, this film will also revolves around the power of Khakhi, corruption in the minister’s blood and poor village members crushed under the feet of spoilt politicians.

Watch the Trailer:

The movie, more than anything, is an extraordinary representation of the senior lady cop Abha Mathur (Priyanka Chopra) who is appointed as the first female SP of Bankipur district, Bihar.

Later, SP Abha Mathur goes against the Local MLA of Bankipur (Manav Kaul) and henchmen of Lakhisarai district as she is not the one who can take even, a bit of corruption. The newly appointed Senior Inspector finds herself against very powerful goons and having people from her own department against her. How she fights back all the local MLAs (who are running the land mafia with the support of powerful politicians), forms the crux of the story. What price she and localites have to pay while going against the goons, is something you have to go and watch in the movie.
