8 Reasons Why Bollywood Actresses doesn’t go Nude Unlike Hollywood Actresses

Bollywood Actresses do skin show but we have never seen them go nude in any Bollywood films except Adult oriented movies but they are also not to that much extent.

Many Hollywood films like Titanic completly shows up nude body of the lead actress and audience in the European and American countries never showed any wrong reaction towards it.

Cultural differnces are the main root cause of this and when it comes to Bollywood actresses 10 essential reason differentiates it, have a look:

Because the Indian Censor Board will ban that movie and that movie will suffer huge loss.
Like the Bengali Movie, Gandu (2010) has a sex scene which involves unsimulated fellatio, cunnilingus, hand-job, ejaculation and there were some other explicit scenes as well. Now this movie got banned from releasing in India.

It is because our society wouldn’t allow it.
We have riots and protests over biopics, documentaries that just project a fair and harsh reality.

NUDITY is a very distant dream.
3.Suyash Mal, I’m uncensored.(Quora User)

Because India is not other countries. If Indian cinema should change, the change should not be to streamline with the cinema of any other country.

Savage Grace (2007) explores the relationship between Barbara Baekeland (Julianne Moore) and her only son, Antony (Eddie Redmayne). Barbara, a lonely social climber unhappily married to the wealthy but remote plastics heir Brooks Baekeland (Stephen Dillane), dotes on Antony, who is homosexual. As Barbara tries to “cure” Antony of his sexuality — sometimes by seducing him herself — the groundwork is laid for a murderous tragedy.

4.Amit Kumar, Only Indian(Quora User)

Who says it is not allowed? A movie with nude scenes are Grade B & C types. And of course partial nudity has become new trend in all modern time movies from bollywood. But complete nudity or vulgarism as in hollywood are still not allowed.

Reason is very simple,

People would not accept it.
Would you like to watch such movie with a nude scene, seating with your parent? well obvious answer in India is NO.
Would you like to watch such scene with your wife? – may be you can. But, with your son/daughter sitting in between? obviously NO
It hurts our cultural, moral and social sentiments. We are not used to that in our society. Thus our censor board put ban on that.
Moreover here are the basic facts that are the main reason for the filmmakers for not showing nudity in Bollywood films:

5.In India movies are commercial commodities unlike other countries(excluding USA) where it is an art form: Art requires freedom and commodities require quality regulation and control

6.India has become far too conservative(in terms of sex): this is in recent centuries(after the mughals and british rule) hence the liberal india that once produced brilliance like kamasutra is lost. It is ironic that the conservative Europeans have become liberal and the liberal indians have become conservative.

7.India obsession to watch movies with family: I am not against it but censor board can just give suggestion if a movie is for family or not. But they do the unthinkable. they force all the cinema makers to make movies for family thereby killing art(anyway it is only a commodity now)

8.Indians ask for more of drama and less of reality: It is somehow the mentality I don’t know why. So you can show unnatural and impossible things like a guy killing 1000s of people with just a sword and call it bravery or you can show a guy becoming hermit after his love denies him and call it sacrifice. People take these as just drama content but if you show pre/extra marital sex explicitly(which is more natural) they don’t want to see. Indians like more fiction and less reality. Slowly things are changing but yeah long way to go before we make explicit movies on contents like LGBT
