Bollywood actress and Hollywood debutant Deepika Padukone has now been a global presence due to her intelligence, beauty, charm and acting skills that have swept millions of hearts.

1.She featured on India Today’s list of 50 most high and mighty people. Her net brand value being $44.4 million (Rs 272 crore), she ranked no. 7 in the overall celebrity ranking and no. 1 among female actors in a Brand Value Survey by American Appraisal published in India Today.
2.She is the first actress ever to have delivered 4 consecutive 100-crore hits. In 2013,Deepika delivered 4 back-to-back hits, all of which earned 100 crores, namely ‘Race 2’, ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Ram Leela’. Need we mention the accolades she won for those films?
3.She was supposed to make her debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’. But Bhansali decided to sign Sonam and Ranbir instead. Ultimately, Deepika’s debut film released on the same day as ‘Saawariya’, and ‘Om Shanti Om’ turned out to be the more successful film.
4.During her modelling days, Deepika was in a relationship with aspiring actor Nihar Pandya whom she broke up with after she got involved with Ranbir Kapoor. In fact, Pandya was to even star in a film based on his relationship with Deepika. Luckily that never happened.
